Frequently Asked Questions & After Care

Aftercare
Second Skin
We recommend you keep your saniderm on for 4-7 days.
This keeps your new tattoo clean and protected from outside elements!
For bigger pieces if you feel like you need to change your saniderm, or if there is a pocket of liquid building inside the saniderm, feel free to drop by our shop, we can change it for you if needed, or send you home with some extra!
But if your bandage comes off before that time and youre not able to make it in, don't worry, just gently wash with unscented soap, and keep the skin clean and dry.
It is normal to experience some redness, swelling and a minor pain. as well as the bandage wrinkling, skin being raised or shiny, and clear plasma leaking from the tattoo during the first few days.
Avoid direct sun, exercises or activities that cause excessive sweating, soaking in baths or submerging your tattoo in water.
Tattoo Aftercare
After 7 Days, remove the sandierm in the shower. Allowing warm water to run under the bandage to loosen it as you remove it.
To ensure that your tattoo is clean, use a non-scented antimicrobial soap, and dry with a clean dry towel. Then apply a thin layer of cetaphil lotion, at least 2 times a day.
*Ask about our aftercare bags! We do our best to send you home with a small supply of soap, and lotion to apply after your session! Along with some goodies from your favorite artists!
It is normal to have itchiness, or flaking or raised skin during this time, while your skin heals.
Avoid scratching or picking at your tattoo, tanning or long sun exposure, or soaking in baths or submerging your tattoo in water during this time.
A Month after Healing
Continue to moisturize your tattoo, and begin to use sunscreen if possible, when in the sun.
During this time if there are any issues with your tattoo, or if any ink has fallen out or faded let your artist know! This could be due to your skin's natural reaction to the ink, improper aftercare or a tattooing error, and we would be happy to touch it up for you, if any issues occur for no charge.
We would love to see updated pictures of your tattoo healed, and would love to have you stop back by during this time to take some! They help up promote our artist artwork, and assure you have a quality tattoo!
Booking & FAQ
Studio Rules
You may bring one guest for your appointment, unless booking an entire group which we do offer group bookings, for back to back sessions.
We can not tattoo the neck or above due to South Carolina tattoo laws, but we can offer other tattoo placement.
Placement anywhere other than arms or legs will have an additional charge added to them, to account for the difficult placement.
If you book an all day appointment, it includes a 30min lunch break, which you are more than welcome to order or bring your own food for that time. But we do offer coffee, tea, and water, and light snacks during your appointment.
We offer parking in the front of the studio, but it is first come first serve, if you have any issues parking please give us a call, and we can assist you in where to park.
Our studio is wheelchair accessible, but please let us know if you require any accommodations.
We do allow kids in the reception area only, as we want our artist to have the most focus, in a non disruptive environment, however please note we do have 18+ books, and artwork displayed.
Booking & Deposits
Booking can be done multiple ways, via social media, email or phone.
You can also submit a booking inquiry with us via our booking page on our website.
After submitting an inquiry we typically invite you to come in for an in person consultation, to meet you and take a look at the area you are looking to get tattooed, then meet face to face with your potential artist, and have you do a deposit to book your appointment. Our studio is a Cash Only studio, though payments options differ artist to artist.
For Booking any appointment we require a deposit $50-$200 (depending on the size of your piece), this covers your artist's draw time for your custom piece, and insures your place in our schedule. After 24hrs of being in our schedule and your deposit is not paid, you will be removed from our books, as your appointment is not guaranteed if the deposit is not paid.
Once you are officially booked, the Saturday before your appointment we will call to confirm/remind you of your appointment. Which we kindly ask if you can confirm with us at least 24 hrs before your appointment.
